About AONL Hawaii

The American Organization of Nurse Leaders Hawaii (AONL Hawaii) is an affiliate of The American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL), founded in 1967, is a national organization of nurses who design, facilitate and manager care and has more than 8,700 members nationwide. AONE provides leadership, professional development, advocacy and research in its effort to advance the nursing profession and patient care, promotes nursing leadership excellence, and shapes health care public policy.

AONL Hawaii services its members by:

  • Providing vision and actions for nursing leadership to meet the health care needs of society;
  • Influencing legislation and public policy related to nursing and patient care issues;
  • Offering member services that support and enhance the management, leadership, educational, and professional development of nursing leaders;
  • Facilitating and supporting research and development efforts that advance nursing administration practice and quality patient care.

AONL Hawaii Chapter

  • Is the local affiliate of the American Organization for Nursing Leadership. Founded in 1991.
  • Has approximately 100 members from various facilities and hospitals across the state.
  • Is part of Region 9, along with Alaska, California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington.
